Do you have a conservatory that you thought was going to give you an extra room to enjoy all year round? But in reality, it's too hot to sit in during the summer, too cold in winter and too noisy when it rains?

The likelihood is that you've got standard double glazed sealed units in the walls and polycarbonate in the roof.

Intelligent Glazing

All of our conservatories and orangeries are fitted with intelligent glazing as standard, but many others aren't. Where they're structurally sound though, we can usually upgrade them by replacing the windows and roof.

Also known as smart glass, intelligent glazing can transform your existing conservatory into a comfortable, bright and airy space that offers a true year round extension to your property.

With smart glass, solar gain and domestic heating is trapped by the glass and retained in the conservatory, making it warm in winter. In summer, heat from the sun, along with the glare and furniture fading UV is dramatically reduced using external filters.

Replacing polycabonate roofing with smart glass also offers better sound insulation and a view of the skies above.

Self Cleaning

A further benefit is the lack of need for regular cleaning. Smart glass has a self-cleaning coating which allows rain to wash away dirt and grime easily.

Our Approach

At Exterior Eco Solutions Ltd, we don't like to rip out existing installations just for the sake of it. It's bad for the environment and for your pocket.

When visiting your home, we will always advise what is in your best interest. Replacing the windows and roofing of an existing conservatory is a good example of this.

Provided your frame is in a healthy condition with solid foundations and meets your needs in terms of space, it makes far more sense to upgrade it with smart glass, than to replace it.
